3.6 Interconnections
Overview
Interconnection capacity auctions affect the availability and cost of cross-border electricity trading. ATLAS brings together the relevant auction information, allowing users to monitor different interconnection directions and delivery periods and evaluate the corresponding allocation results.
By combining auction characteristics, capacity figures, prices and participant information, the section provides a complete view of each auction, from the capacity offered and requested to the final allocation and winning parties.
Reviewing Auctions
The available auctions can be explored by period, horizon, interconnection direction or auction office using the date range and grid filters. Grid Views can be used to retain frequently used configurations, while the displayed data can be exported for further analysis or reporting.
Opening an auction by double-clicking it or selecting Edit provides access to its complete record.
General information includes the auction identification, horizon, transmission right type, responsible auction office and delivery period.
The results show how offered capacity compares with requested capacity, how much was allocated and at what price.
The winning-party information identifies the market participants that secured capacity and provides their registered details and market roles.
