Overview
The Reserve Offers screen allows Balancing Service Providers (BSPs) to submit reserve capacity offers for the Integrated Scheduling Process (ISP), for the FCR, aFRR and mFRR products. Offers are defined as price and quantity steps for each dispatch period and for each direction (up and down), which gives the system operator the capacity that it can reserve and the price at which the provider is willing to offer it.
Reserve offers typically relate to dispatchable units.
For each dispatch period, the screen displays the reserve categories (FCR, aFRR and mFRR) in the up and down directions, with the quantity offered and its price. The number of price and quantity steps follows the rules of the market, and the prices are checked against the limits that the market applies.
Creating and Submitting Reserve Offers
The user selects the day and the provider and prepares the offers either from scratch or by reusing the offers of a previous day, which saves time since reserve offers tend to be similar from day to day. The offers can be edited in the grid or copied from a spreadsheet.
When the offers are saved, they are transferred to the Balancing Market Order List, where an authorized user approves and sends them to the system operator, or exports them as files.
For recurring submissions, the preparation and the submission of the offers can be automated, which reduces the daily workload of the trading desk.
The screen is operated through the Dispatch Date, Asset Type and Balancing Service Provider selectors. The Historical Data option allows the user to review the offers of previous days before preparing the offers of the day, and the toolbar also provides the data export, the save and the export of the market files.
